Software Engineer C++ 

As a Software Engineer you are responsible for specification, design, realization, testing and maintenance of our medical and software products. You develop software for different modules of devices such as our Spectrum system with the scope ranging from low level register access up to implementing the graphical user interface. Strong interpersonal skills make that you can oversee the software activities in our multidisciplinary engineering team to realize high-tech products.

 

What we expect from you 

  • A Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or Physics or similar field.
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant work experience in C++ software development.
  • In your work your focus is on results and you are able to manage your planning and set priorities.
  • You produce high quality, efficient and maintainable code.
  • You bring good problem-solving skills with a pragmatic and pro-active approach and have a good dose of "common sense".
  • Proven team player but self-responsible.
  • It is important to have good communication skills in Dutch and English.
  • Knowledge of the Qt framework and modern software development techniques such as object-oriented programming, STL, design patterns.
  • Knowledge in one (or several) of these areas is a plus: (embedded) Linux, QML, video pipelines, build systems, test automation, UML.
  • Experience with requirement management techniques is a plus.

As a Mechanical Engineer at Quest Medical Imaging you ensure that you convert the wishes of customers or colleagues into a design that meets all technical specifications. You are responsible for the specifications, design, realization, testing and maintenance of our medical products, machines and tools. Your strong interpersonal skills allow you to oversee the mechanical activities in our multidisciplinary engineering team to realize high-tech products. Your direct supervisor is the department manager of D&D.

Quest Medical Imaging is located in Wieringerwerf (North Holland) and develops, produces and sells smart Multispectral and Hyperspectral camera solutions as well as the associated special software for advanced image processing.

What we expect from you 

  • You have at least a completed HBO / WO diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or a comparable field;
  • You have at least 3 years of relevant work experience in creating CAD designs;
  • You are available at least 32, but preferably 40 hours a week;
  • You focus on the result in your work and you are able to manage the schedules and set priorities;
  • You produce high-quality, efficient and maintainable designs;
  • You are responsible for making a technical design (including material selection and calculations);
  • You know how to convert an idea for a product or machine into a drawing and you can use all your creativity in it;
  • You have mastered making 3D drawings with programs such as Inventor and Solidworks;
  • You have sufficient knowledge to check drawings from external parties or colleagues where necessary;
  • You have contact with suppliers and third parties about materials and products;
  • You are problem-solving, and you have a pragmatic and proactive approach;
  • Preferably you live near Wieringerwerf;
  • The language of instruction is in most cases Dutch and increasingly English. This also applies to documentation.

The Quest Research & Trials team is involved in the initial development and clinical trials of different devices and device-drug combinations. In these processes the R&T team manages and /or supports customers that participate in the trials with data analysis and trial organization.

 

As a Researcher at Quest Medical Imaging, you will work on a great variety of projects for the initial development and optimization of medical devices. The focus of the work will be in the imaging domain, using Artificial Intelligence and Deep Learning to further optimize the analysis process and implement predictive tools for future application in the medical field.

 

We are looking for a researcher with the following skills:
